See for yourself how simple it is and choose the method that suits you best.
1. How to apply press-on nails using glue?
Applying your nails with professional glue provides the strongest hold.
Your press-on nails can last up to 14 days, depending on daily wear and the care taken during application. Proper nail preparation is essential.
Make sure you have all the necessary items before you begin
(all listed products should be included in your set):
• Makartt nail glue (high quality)
• Alcohol wipes
• Wooden cuticle stick
• Nail file
• Buffer
• Brush
• Microfiber cloth
Optional but recommended:
• Cuticle nippers
• Paper towel
Step-by-step application
Have everything ready? Let’s begin.
1 – Gently push back your cuticles using the wooden stick. If you have cuticle nippers, you may use them at this stage.
2 – File or trim the free edge of your natural nails.
3 – Lightly buff the nail surface to remove shine.
4 – Remove all dust with the brush, then cleanse the nail using an alcohol wipe. Allow the nail plate to dry completely.
5 – Cut the tip of the glue and apply a thin, even layer to your natural nail, avoiding the cuticle area.
6 – Apply a small amount of glue to the back of the press-on nail (near the cuticle zone).
7 – Position the nail at a 45° angle, starting near the cuticle, and gently press downward until fully adhered.
8 – Check alignment and hold firmly for approximately 30 seconds.
9 – Wipe away any residue and enjoy your new set.
Recommendations
• Choose a time of day when your nails won’t be exposed to water or heavy use for at least 3 hours. Applying them in the evening is ideal.
• Apply nails starting with your thumb, proceeding finger by finger to avoid mixing up sizes.
• Keep your tools, especially the wooden stick, for safe removal later.
If glue comes into contact with skin or surfaces
Do not pull hardened glue off by force — this may damage your skin.
• If glue spills onto skin, gently wipe it away immediately using a paper towel or alcohol wipe.
• If glue gets onto the press-on nail surface, use a glue remover oil and gently massage the area until clean.
• In case of larger spills on skin or fabric, rinse promptly with warm water, soap, and oil. Soak clothing if necessary.

How to remove your press-on nails?
Regardless of the application method, you can follow the tips below.
Step-by-step removal
1 – Soak your nails in warm, soapy water with a few drops of oil.
2 – Gently lift the edges using a wooden cuticle stick.
Never pull the nails off by force.
3 – Repeat the process until all nails come off naturally.
4 – If a nail is holding firmly, use a professional press-on glue remover oil.
5 – Carefully remove any remaining glue from your natural nails.
You may use a brush, warm water, or dedicated nail prep products.
Continue until the nail surface is clean and smooth.
6 – Nails applied with glue should be lightly filed from the underside
to remove any glue residue.
Once cleaned, place the nails back into the box.
Your set is now ready for reuse.
Recommendations
• A long, warm bath works perfectly before or during removal.
• If you plan to apply a new set right away,
wash your hands thoroughly and wait at least 15 minutes
for your natural nails to dry completely.
• Previously worn press-on nails should be cleaned underneath
using an alcohol wipe or soap and water.
Allow them to dry and avoid touching the adhesive surface.
If glue contacts skin or surfaces
Do not remove hardened glue by force.
• Wipe away fresh glue immediately using a paper towel or alcohol wipe.
• If glue spills onto the nail surface, use remover oil
and gently massage until clean.
• For larger spills on skin or fabric, rinse promptly
with warm water, soap, and oil. Soak clothing if necessary.
How to care for your set?
Despite the high durability and performance of the products, your set may still be susceptible to damage.
Here are a few important things to keep in mind.
The lifespan and reusability of your press-on nails depend on how often you wear them and the level of exposure to conditions that may cause wear or damage.
Always return your removed press-on nail set to its designated box,
keeping the nails in the correct order.
While wearing your set, avoid prolonged exposure to hot, soapy water,
excessive pressure on the nails, and activities that may cause chipping
or breakage.
If minor scratches appear, you may restore the finish:
After thoroughly cleansing and degreasing the nail surface,
apply a thin layer of no-wipe top coat (glossy or matte)
and cure it in a UV/LED lamp.
This method can help recover the smooth, polished look.
Please note that additional layers will slightly increase nail thickness.
Recommended only for those familiar with basic gel polish application.
